Daydream OS++
A Dream Come True
1997 Bay Arabian Stallion standing at 15.1 hands
Daydream was the first horse to carry the OS in his name. A lovely specimen of an Arabian, Daydream is the result of the cross between the well known Egyptian sire, Ibn Haalifah, and our Spanish-bred adoptee, Farasha. Obtaining his sire's showy temperament and smooth topline, Daydream obtained his Spanish heritage's sturdiness and gritiness. Exemplifying what we strive to breed, Daydream is just as at home in a dressage ring as in a jumper ring. He loves the thrills of competition in halter or under saddle and is a horse one knows will give his 100%. Not only is he beautiful, he is also very smart. Rarely needing repetition, Daydream learns everything easily (which can sometimes be a bad thing). He does like to test his rider/handler and thus is always given a very confident person who knows exactly what he/she is doing. Like most stallions, Daydream can have his days where he lacks concentration and just 'flops' around. He also has his days where he is completely focused, which is most often the case, and is just a spectacle to observe (or feel!).
The Sire[/u]
Daydream has been a stupendous sire and is quickly getting noticed by the rest of HF. Constantly the preferred stallion to breed to, Daydream is very dominant in his siring ability when it comes to movement and conformation. Like their sire, Daydream get are very sturdy yet smooth. They mix beauty with workability and it just makes for a must-see individual. He has sired the very popular and consistent hunter mare, Torrance Sienna, and the gorgeous El Dorado (owned by Dreaming Tree Acres) just to mention two. We have been really pleased with Daydream's siring abilities as have those that have taken the chance of breeding to him. Daydream's first Half Arabian foals are also turning out to be just as great as his purebred offspring, showing his dominance over mares of other breeds. He is capable of transmitting his good qualities, yet allowing the mare's better qualities to also go through. Zippin Daydream (out of a paint mare) has been taking the Half Arabian circuit by storm and shows no signs of stopping. Daydream has yet to finish his siring career and he is destined to make a lasting impression as a prolific sire.
