Well, our first update on our new message board. So excited to fill it up!! There has been a lot of showing going on lately at the Oasis farms. All of our horses have been working hard for those blue ribbons and we are proud to say we have brought home plenty! I am going to split the updates by division. Here it goes:
Encantada Arabians
Well, being our main farm this farm is obviously the largest and busiest. Our Arabians and Half Arabians have been doing much better than we could have planned. They have been competing against the best and holding their ground. We are very very proud of them all. Many of our Arabians have gained Legions from the AHA. With the most recent Regionals (4) and the International Show (Elran Arab Cup), they have moved up! Here are the new 'inductees'.
-Daydream OS+/
-Toshalesce GS+/
-Karmina+
We have a few that are extremely close to obtaining their first Legion or moving on up to the second Legion. We cross our fingers and hope that for our next update, they will have reached that goal already.
Tavern Stud
We would like to welcome some new additions to Tavern. Purchased at the Ivia Sponsored Rosebrooke Auction, we would like to welcome:
-Volatile: A black German Warmblood stallion that is just a superb jumper. Due to long time of not showing, Volatile is quickly getting back in the hang of the shows. He will be competing in Open/Level 9 Jumpers until he gets his swing back. He will then begin his GP Jumpers campaign.
-Rosmel's Supreme Being: A beautiful palomino Welsh 'B' Pony that has just blown us away with his talents and winning disposition.
-Rowena: A rare Lipizzan mare we purchased with her 2006 colt, Neopolitano Rowena, at side. She will be showing in dressage.
-Neopolitano Rowena: Rowena's 2006 Lipizzan colt. A rare bay, we are halter training him as he has one of the sweetest dispositions we have seen on colts along with amazing movements. A superb dressage prospect!
Our four purchases are all very welcome and we would like to give another thanks to Alyssa for selling them to us!
Oasis Racing Group
We have recently wet our feet into Arabian racing having purchased some well bred mares and imported them and two in-utero foals from Drakar Springs. We can't wait to begin racing our Arabians. We have been really wanting to race our Arabians for a long time and with the new association opening, we see this coming strong. Yay! Our new additions are:
-Origami: A chestnut mare with lightning fast speed. Aside from her speed, this mare has beauty to spare. People are often fooled by her beauty!
-Arabella: A grey Monarch AH daughter that has tons of talent for the racetrack and an enviable pedigree.
-Werdenful: Another grey beauty that is tough and gritty. She hates to be beat, which is not often.
-Revolution DS: A Drakar Springs bred mare with looks to kill and speed to burn.
-Taxman DS: A young Drakar Springs bred colt that shows much promise for racing in 2007. Will begin training along with some other of our two year olds in September.
Our Thoroughbreds recently came back from the August Racemeet and our ultra special Flagship came back with a WIN in her Allowance race. This is her first win out of three starts. She is already showing us she is ready for tougher competition. She will be racing in an ungraded stakes race in September and we can't wait to see how she fares with tougher competition. Our other racers also fared well, but Flagship was definitely the star of our group in August.
We are currently in the works for our Second Annual Auction beginning on August 24 - September 2. We don't want our auction to clash with any other auction so we want to allow the other planned auctions to go ahead and finish before we open ours. We have some high quality stock available that we know won't disappoint. So, go check it out and write down the date!!
Thanks for your time!
