Wolverine OS
2006 Black Arabian Stallion
*bred by Oasis Stables, Inc.*
Sire: Magneto OS (DJN Baraka Sharziz x WA Mystique+/)
*owned and bred by Oasis Stables, Inc.*
Dam: Wind Shahllenger (Shahllenger x Wind Charm)
*owned by Oasis Stables, Inc.*
Wolverine is the first foal from both his sire and dam. Born jet black with limited amounts of white, this colt stunned us from the start. Like Magneto was named after an X-Men character, as was his dam (we believe), it was just fitting to name his first born after an X-men character. Keeping true to naming all of our Arabians with the first letter of their dam's name, we had no other choice but Wolverine. Unlike his namesake, this colt is definitely not vicious or temperamental. He is definitely very showy and gifted when it comes to having that spark for the show ring. He has a very solid and firm way of going and is very confident in himself. He is also very attentive to his handler and although still young, is very mature for his age. This is the type of colt that will have a lengthy career both on the line and under saddle. We really really like how he turned out. He seriously made us doubt why we opted to geld his sire.
Magneto OS was bred by us when his dam, Mystique was on lease from Windblown. He is a similar cross as the famed Velocity WMA. Both share the same sire, while Magneto's dam is out of Tyme VF (Velocity's dam). There was a solid amount of hype for this horse when he began his showing career, but he truly left us a bit disappointed. After a year and half of poor outings, we decided that gelding Magneto would be best. He had also been bred to Wind Shahllenger and Farasha and was acting up way too much, easily losing concentration when he saw another horse. Once gelded, Magneto really began to shine. His first time out, he did spectacularly at one of the TM Hunter Series shows, getting applauded even by non-Arabian folks. As a gelding, Magneto's outings have been far more solid and consistent. The downside? Both his foals turned out to be some of the best of our 2006 foal crop!! We luckily retained frozen straws of semen to use for our next foal crops.
Wolverine's dam was the first mare ever created by me in the sim world. She was created alongside Golden Gun and was just a lanky three year old. This mare was quite the dressage star in our previous game. Once taking a National Championship, we focused her more as a broodmare. Unfortunately, she only gave us about two foals, both which have disappeared. Wind Shahllenger's sire is a beautiful son of the esteemed *Aladdin. Her dam is by the known Fire Wind, a son of *Bask. This mare has some spectacular bloodlines and she shows it. Still actively showing, this mare is very consistent both in hand and under saddle.
